In our September report we mentioned that the building where we are meeting is up for sale. We are currently renting only a very small portion of the property. If we were to buy this property, it would give us 400 square meters to work with. The property includes two store fronts, one we are currently using for our Bible Studies, and the other is being rented by a bakery. Above these two store fronts are two apartments and an open terrace on the roof. In the back is a very large open space with an old house in the back that will need to be demolished. In that space could be built a large sanctuary in the future. The structure of the main building is very good although in need of some maintenance.
The realtor gave us a tour of the entire property and we took several pictures and videos. He consulted the owners and the final purchase price is $350,000. This is a good price for it’s location and the amount of space. We would be able to live in the apartments above as well as use the extra rooms for classrooms as the work grows. This would also save money on the rent we currently are paying on our home. The realtor said that we could hold the property with $5,000 earnest money, however, the rest of the $350,000 would have to be paid within two months or we would lose that money. Please pray with us that if it’s the Lord’s will the property will not sell until we have raised the full amount. While this looks like the perfect opportunity, we also want to be good stewards of what He provides. If we do not buy this one there are other buildings for sale.
