Crossing Items off the List!
As we prepare for coming to the U.S., we have been busy with all of the things to finish before we come back. I currently have two large lists, one for accomplishing before we fly and the second to get finished while we are in the U.S.
First and foremost we are preparing our mission group for the time that we are going to be on furlough. They have been doing really well as they continue to grow in the Lord. We are planning on maintaining contact through social media and encouraging from afar while we are apart.
A Vehicle for Using in the US
One of our needs was to have a vehicle ready for us when we arrive in the States. We have many events planned for the time that we will be there including three mission conferences, the national meeting, four state meetings, Missionary Training Ministry, visiting family and many appointments along the way. We cannot express our gratitude enough to all who have been working hard and are still working on this!
The Lord Providing a Home for our cat!
It is always amazing watching the Lord provide as only He can! It may not seem like a big thing to some but one of our loose ends to tie up was finding a good place for our cat while we are gone from Argentina. We have had our cat for about three years and she is already like a part of our family! We had diligently looked into options but had several difficulties. We had been praying as we put out a digital flyer to our friends and what followed was amazing.
As we were about to resign ourselves to more expensive options, (and lonelier for the cat), we received a message from a young man that was saved a couple of years ago but had moved further away from where we were meeting. He is now living closer and renting a small house by himself and had been thinking about finding a cat, even looking to rescue one from the street that he had seen. When he saw what our need was he immediately sent us a message and we were able to work out the directions. It was also a great blessing to be able to see him again and catch up. It was good seeing him doing so well and continuing to grow in the Lord!
Update on the Cat and the Car
The Lord is still good and we know that He knows where our cat is. It happened like this: We had taken the cat to her new home and got her set up and was doing well but escaped out of the door the next day and has been lost since then. We have been more concerned with him at this point than the cat. The cat will either come back in a few days or find somewhere else, but our friend has been taking it very hard and has been feeling terrible that the cat was lost. We have been trying to encourage him in the Lord that the Lord knows where she is and that He is constantly working in ways that we cannot know.
We also had our plans for storing our car during furlough change at the last minute as well. Where we had planned on parking the car was no longer going to be available to us, but in the last moment, yesterday to be exact the Lord provided us with another option that will meet our need! God be praised!
