Missionary Training Ministry (MTM)
At the beginning of the month we drove the fifteen hours from West Virginia to Mountain View Arkansas to attend the Missionary Training Ministry organized by Flatwoods Baptist Church. I would highly recommend anyone attend one of these seminars. The quality and level of the instruction will greatly aid both those churches that are sending missionaries, as well as those missionaries soon to be sent. During the week we were blessed by getting to attend with several from our sending church. We were also thankful to have our daughter, Ruth, attending the conference with us. It was a little strange being one of the “older” missionaries at the seminar. I am so thankful that many are answering the call to preach His blessed gospel in the regions beyond!
Mission Conference in Kentucky
After attending MTM, we had the great privilege of going back to Kentucky once more to see several dear brethren! It has truly been amazing how many churches and individuals we have been able to see during these few months. After the conference, it was very special to me to be able to visit my brother in Kentucky that I have not seen in over twenty years and to see the graveside of my other brother.
Homebuilders
At the end of the month my wife and I traveled to Branson, MO for the Homebuilders marriage conference. We will be celebrating thirty years of marriage in November. You build a long happy marriage through the Lord. It takes love, communication, patience and in short: working on it! We had a wonderful time together going through all of the sessions. I would encourage all listening to work on your marriages! One of satan’s biggest tactics is to destroy the home. Your home is worth fighting for!
Back in Texas
We have made it back into the great state of Texas after being on the road out of state since the end of August. We have appointments scheduled throughout the month of November and plan on spending the month of December with our sending church and with family before heading back to Argentina the beginning of January.
